MYLICON® Infant Drops (drug name is “simethicone”) Mylicon gas drops are commonly used for the treatment of gas in newborns/infants. It works by decreasing the surface tension of the gas bubble allowing it to rupture and pass more easily. There are no reported side effects for this medication except in newborns under 2 months.

• all dosages may be repeated as needed, after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a physician. Do not exceed 12 doses per day.

• WARNING: for newborns (under 2 months of age) limit use to 3 times daily. If your baby has jaundice (yellow skin color as a newborn) then do not use Mylicon until jaundice resolves.

• fill enclosed dropper to recommended dosage level and dispense liquid slowly into baby's mouth, towards the inner cheek

• dosage can also be mixed with 1 oz. of cool water, infant formula or other suitable liquids
